Quick Morning Awakening Gua Sha Ritual

This gua sha routine was created to help boost circulation, promote lymphatic drainage, reduce puffiness and energize your face.

Start with misting your face with your facial toner and follow it with a few drops of an essence. 

Any of the traditional gua sha tools can be used for this ritual; however, in the following tutorial we will refer to the sides of Pari Satiss Gua Sha Stone. Use it as a guide to pick the sides of your gua sha tool to work with. 

Step 1: Great Awakening

  • Use the wavy Main Working Curve of your gua sha stone for this step. 
  • Start at the center of your hairline, glide your gua sha tool back over your scalp in long strokes down toward your neck. Move slightly to the left and repeat, working section by section to cover the entire scalp. Repeat on the right side.

Step 2: Tone the Neck 

  • Use the Main Working Curve of your gua sha tool for this step. 
  • Using upward strokes, glide the tool from your shoulder to your ear, adding a gentle wiggle at the end of each stroke. Follow with 5 strokes moving back down.
  • Then, glide upward from your collarbone to your jawline, wiggling at the end. Follow with 5 strokes back down.

Step 3: Define the Jawline

  • Work with the Large Curve of your gua sha stone for this step. 
  • Gently glide the tool from your chin to your ear, adding a wiggle at the end. Repeat 5 times on each side.

Step 4: Plump the Lips 

  • Use Medium Tip of your gua sha tool for this step. 
  • Work in small, brisk, light movements along the edges of both your upper and lower lips to make them plumper and naturally rosy.

Step 5: Lift the Cheeks

  • Start at the sides of your nose and glide the Main Working Curve of your gua sha tool outward toward your temples. This movement smooths out the nasolabial folds and helps lift the mid-face. Repeat 5 times on each side.
  • Using the Medium Curve of the tool, sweep it upward from your cheekbones to your temples to promote sculpting and lifting in the cheek area. Repeat 5 times on each side.

Step 6: Open Your Eyes

  • Place the Medium Cutve of your gua sha stone under your eye and gently glide it outward toward the temple, anchoring the skin with your other hand. Repeat 5 times on each side.
  • Use the Small Curve of your gua sha tool to glide along your brow. Repeat 5 times on each side.

Step 7: Lift Your Forehead

  • Place the Fascia Release Curve of your gua sha stone above your brow and glide it upward toward the hairline, using gentle pressure. Repeat 5 times on each side.

That’s it! You’ve completed your awakening gua sha facial. For best results, practice this routine every morning.
