In contrast to lifting massage that uses upward strokes, this routine focuses on downward movements to encourage lymphatic flow.
Step 1: Activate the Lymph Nodes
- Make a couple of deep breaths.
- Start by gently pressing the area above your collarbones on both sides 10-15 times. This stimulates the lymphatic flow.
- Move to the underarm area and gently massage to activate the lymph nodes there. 10-15 times on each side.
- Pound your chest lightly with your hand
- Move to the area above your collarbones and press lightly to keep the lymph moving. 10-15 times.
- Place your fingers under your ears and gently press in downward motions. 10-15 times.
- Use light, circular motions around your ears, massaging all sides to stimulate the lymph nodes. 10-15 times.
- Next stimulate the lymph nodes on the back of your skull (on the bottom of the occipital bone) by using gentle pressure with your fingers. 10-15 times
- Finish with a scalp massage using your fingers to stimulate circulation and lymph flow. 20-30 seconds
- Return to the area above your collarbones and press lightly to keep the lymph moving. 10-15 times.
Preparation to use your gua sha stone:
- Spray the Rose Firming Toner and apply our Bio-Retinol & Black Coffee Contouring Essence for smooth gua sha tool gliding.
Step 2: Decollete & Collarbone
- Using the Main Working Curve, start by gliding your gua sha stone from the center of your chest outward to the armpits to help move lymph toward the larger lymph nodes. Repeat this 5 times on each side.
- Next, with the Large Curve glide along your collarbone from the center going outward. Repeat 5 times on each side.
Step 3: Neck
- Using downward movements, glide the Main Working Curve of your gua sha tool from under your ear down to your shoulder. Focus on draining the lymph and releasing excess fluids. Repeat 5 times on each side.
- Use downward strokes on the front of your neck, moving from your jawline down to the collarbone.
Step 4: Jawline & Chin
- Use the Medium Tip to scrape under the jawline. Repeat five times, finishing with downward movement from your ear down to the collarbone. Repeat for the other side.
- Gently massage your chin going outward to your ear using the Large Curve of your Pari Satiss Gua Sha, finishing with a slight shake near the ear. Repeat five times, following with the downward movement from your ear down to the collarbone to start drainage. Repeat for the other side.
Step 5: Cheeks & Eyes
- Massage the wings on the nose with the Main Tip. Glide the Main Working Curve of your gua sha tool outward toward your ears, then guide the lymph down toward the larger lymph nodes in the neck and collarbone area. Repeat 5 times on each side.
- For the area under the eyes gently move the Medium Tip of the gua sha stone from the inner corner outward toward the temple, making sure to anchor the skin with your fingers for support.
- Use the Small Curve to release tension from the eyebrows. Glide with medium pressure. Repeat 5 times on each side.
Step 6: Forehead
- With the Main Working Curve use downward strokes starting from the middle and moving outward toward your temples. Repeat 5 times on each side, then continue moving downward, draining toward your neck and collarbone.
And that’s it! You’ve just completed a full depuffing gua sha routine. Repeat this ritual 2-3 times a week for best results.
